Visiting the Giardino di Ninfa is a wonderful experience. This natural monument is situated in Cisterna di Latina, exactly where the ancient medieval city Ninfa was situated. It is a beautiful British garden of 8 hectares, made by Gelasio Caetani, in 1921.
From the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano you arrive to a cloister built by the Vassalletto, one of the most important families of architects and sculptors in Rome. Pietro Vassalletto started the work in 1222, almost at the end of Innocenzo III pontificate.
